McWaters & Associates, REALTORS® was founded in 1973.  Five decades of hard work and commitment have led to a highly respected and successful company where many friendships and solid business alliances have been built.

The company owes much of its success to Louise "Bebe" McWaters, the founder. Her gentle and gifted touch made McWaters & Associates the thriving real estate company that it is today. A former head cheerleader at the University of Alabama, she built her company on enthusiasm and a positive outlook. Over the years, Bebe taught her children about the family business and, most importantly, instilled in them the values which remain the foundation of the company today. Bebe's youngest son, Lee McWaters, followed in his mother's path and became owner and managing broker of McWaters & Associates, REALTORS® in the 1990s. Lee was very involved in our community, serving on the Memphis Association of REALTORS® board, later becoming President, and devoted so much of his time to his family and local charities. Lee continued Bebe's tradition of hard work and honesty and grew the brokerage's footrpint throughout the Greater Memphis and North Mississippi areas. 
 
Unfortantely in 2024, Lee lost his short battle to cancer, leaving Julie Upchurch as the owner and managing broker. Julie began as an Affiliate Broker at McWaters & Associates, REALTORS® in 2017 and continues to lead the company with the same core values that have been in place since the beginning: honesty, integrity, and putting our clients' needs first. McWaters & Associates, REALTORS® continues to help buyers and sellers throughout the Midsouth and North Mississippi area.
